About the Author

Tony Perry was born in 1972 in Arizona and from the age of five, after his parents divorced, lived alternatively in Arizona with his mother and in Hawaii with his father. He started learning Russian at school and then at the Russian Department of Northwestern University. He first came to Moscow in 1992 on a students' exchange program and then returned in 1994 staying for ten years. In Moscow, he gave English lessons to Russians, was involved in the tourist business, and finally married a Russian girl Natasha. He now lives in Hawaii with his wife and daughter where he divides his time between teaching and writing.
