Description
Part of the pink tide sweeping Latin America, Ollanta Humala is one of the new leaders arguing for a politically sovereign and economically integrated continent. Like Venezuela’s Hugo Chávez, Humala led a military rebellion and is similarly of indigenous heritage. He also shares Chávez’s vision of an integrated Latin America.
Here he discusses his humble background and his political formation as he reveals his perspectives for real change in Peru and Latin America.
