ED BOK LEE is the author of Real Karaoke People, winner of a PEN/Beyond Margins Award, and an Asian American Literary Award (Members' Choice). Other awards include grants from the Jerome Foundation, NEA, and a McKnight Artists Fellowship in Poetry.

Ed Bok Lee's writing explores the turmoil and beauty of multicultural America. His poetry and prose have appeared in Korean Quarterly, Asian Pages, A View from the Loft and Spectator: A Performing Arts Journal. His plays have been commissioned and performed by various theaters, among them the New York Theatre Workshop, the Guthrie Theater and the Ma Yi Theatre.
